The launch of this standard represents a key measure in implementing China’s “dual-carbon” strategy and the 14th Five-Year Plan for New Energy Storage Development. It concretely advances Premier Li Qiang’s directive in the March 2025 Government Work Report to “coordinate efforts to reduce carbon emissions, pollution, and expand green growth, accelerating a comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development.” This marks a new stage for the hybrid energy station industry in achieving standardization and high-quality growth, while serving as a critical opportunity for consensus-building and collaborative innovation within the sector.

MPMC will partner with research institutions such as Tongji University, the State Grid, and leading telecom enterprises to conduct extensive surveys and validations, establishing a framework covering system architecture, performance metrics, and safety requirements. MPMC’s systems—including methanol generator + storage, natural gas generator + storage, diesel generator + storage, and PV + diesel + storage—have been repeatedly validated in complex scenarios such as oil fields, construction sites, microgrids, and mining operations, providing solid practical foundations for the standard.

During the afternoon’s first working group session, experts discussed the standard’s top-level design, naming conventions, hybrid energy scope, system architecture and energy integration, environmental adaptability, and multi-energy collaborative control, along with other core technical indicators.
