MPMC Leads the Launch of China’s National Standard for Mobile Hybrid Energy Stations

Sep 22, 2025

On September 18, the launch meeting and first working group session for the national standard “General Technical Specification for Mobile Hybrid Energy Stations”, hosted by the National Mobile Power Station Standardization Technical Committee and organized by MPMC, was grandly held in Yangzhong, Jiangsu.

Attending the event were Sun Dongmei, Standing Committee Member and Minister of Propaganda of Yangzhong Municipal Committee; Yang Youjun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Administrative Committee of Yangzhong High-tech Zone; Gao Qin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Yangzhong Market Supervision Administration, along with leaders from the National Mobile Power Station Standardization Technical Committee, experts from China’s telecom power sector, the State Grid, and the National Marine Technology Center. Representatives from universities and companies including Chongqing University, Tongji University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Zhongzhi Technology, China Energy Engineering, New Energy Era, Guoguang Shuneng, Shenghong Co., Caterpillar, Relec, Lixing, Taihao Power, Shencheng Electromechanical, and Zhengzhou Foguang, totaling over 50 participants, gathered to witness this milestone driving the industry toward standardization and high-quality development.

Aligning with National Strategy, Using Standards to Drive Industry Transformation
The launch of this standard represents a key measure in implementing China’s “dual-carbon” strategy and the 14th Five-Year Plan for New Energy Storage Development. It concretely advances Premier Li Qiang’s directive in the March 2025 Government Work Report to “coordinate efforts to reduce carbon emissions, pollution, and expand green growth, accelerating a comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development.” This marks a new stage for the hybrid energy station industry in achieving standardization and high-quality growth, while serving as a critical opportunity for consensus-building and collaborative innovation within the sector.

As the lead drafting organization, MPMC Chairman Du Jianfeng remarked in his opening address: “MPMC has long been dedicated to this industry, holding 138 core technology patents and serving customers in over 120 countries and regions. Standards are not only catalysts for technological innovation but also passports for high-quality industrial development. Leading the development of the General Technical Specification for Mobile Hybrid Energy Stations is both an honorable mission and a significant responsibility.”

Pooling Industry Expertise, Building a Comprehensive High-Standard Framework
The launch meeting was not only the kickoff of the standard’s formulation but also a collaborative gathering of academic, research, and industrial expertise. MPMC will partner with research institutions such as Tongji University, the State Grid, and leading telecom enterprises to conduct extensive surveys and validations, establishing a framework covering system architecture, performance metrics, and safety requirements. MPMC’s systems—including methanol generator + storage, natural gas generator + storage, diesel generator + storage, and PV + diesel + storage—have been repeatedly validated in complex scenarios such as oil fields, construction sites, microgrids, and mining operations, providing solid practical foundations for the standard.

Focusing on Key Elements, Ensuring Standards Are Advanced and Practical
During the afternoon’s first working group session, experts discussed the standard’s top-level design, naming conventions, hybrid energy scope, system architecture and energy integration, environmental adaptability, and multi-energy collaborative control, along with other core technical indicators.

MPMC Vice General Manager Liu Xiaoxia emphasized in her technical report: “We will adhere to a problem-oriented approach, ensuring the standard is practical, implementable, and pioneering, so it truly becomes a benchmark for industry advancement.”
